Our story
ACTS Billund is part of Kirkecenteret Vejle — one church, two locations. In September 2026, Kirkecenteret Vejle celebrates its 100th anniversary and changes its name to Kirken ACTS Vejle – just like our local church here in Billund. Kirken ACTS has roots in Apostolsk Kirke Danmark. For decades, we’ve built a vibrant community of people who seek God with passion and share his love.
We believe in classic Christianity in a contemporary form. No robes — we have live bands, modern worship, and a focus on being a church at eye level with kids of all ages. Everyone starts together, then we split up so both adults and children experience a service that meets them where they are.
In 2026 we began planting a new church in Billund, because we believe this amazing city deserves a vibrant free church community. Right now we are in the startup phase, building momentum with distinct services and events, before eventually launching regular weekly services. In Billund the sermon is in English with Danish interpretation via headset — the reverse of Vejle — to create space for both Danish and English speakers. We’re not competing with the established church, but offering Christianity in a more contemporary form.

What we believe
Christianity in a contemporary form — here's what that means to us:
We believe in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the creator, the Son became human to save us, and the Holy Spirit lives in us and guides us. To know God is to know Jesus.
